My name is Lori Dethlefs.  Thank you for visiting.

I pray that we can take a spiritual journey together - to know God and to know His Word.  To know the Truths that will empower us to live a high-impact life!

This welcome page is here to give you a little background on me and the heart God has given me for people.

I love God with all of my heart.  I love connecting people to Him through the ministry of prayer and the ministry of God's Word ... the Bible.

I love helping people find true lasting spiritual freedom.  This freedom comes when we walk in an intimate relationship with God and when we know and believe God's Word.

When we believe God; who He is, what He can do and who He says that we are to Him!

I truly believe the Bible gives us all we need to have a thriving spiritual life.

His promises and commands are here to help us get through the complexities of life.  It is here to guide us, to teach us, to rebuke us, to correct us and to most of all - to encourage us and to build us up in Christ!

The Bible ... is truly is our guide book for daily living!

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true
and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives.

It corrects us when we are wrong

and teaches us to do what is right.

God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

I believe with all of my heart that it is not enough for us to simply know the Word and Truth.  We must also come to firmly believe it - to where the roots of what we believe goes down deep into the character of God - and into His love.

Our lives must become firmly grounded and established in God and in Truth ... if we are to have a thriving and high-impact life!

"I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources
he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.

Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him.

Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.

And may you have the power to understand,

as all God’s people should, how wide,
how long, how high, and how deep his love is.

May you experience the love of Christ,

though it is too great to understand fully.

Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life

and power that comes from God."

Ephesians 3:17-19 NLT

I also believe every test, trial and temptation we face in this life is to fortify God's Word and His truth into every fiber of our being!

Like Jesus in the wilderness .... every trial we have in life and with the enemy of our soul ... is for one purpose ... for us to learn how to stand on the Word of God and what He and He ALONE has to say about the issue we are facing.

It is all about fortifying and strengthening Truth and God's character in us.

"But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,

‘People do not live by bread alone
but BY EVERY WORD that
comes from the mouth of God."
Matthew 4:4 NLT

We must come to know God's Word, believe God's Word and live God's Word.  Not out of duty or law but driven by a revelation and understanding of God's love for us.

When we combine knowing the Truth ... with believing the Truth and then begin living the Truth - this is when we will see the supernatural power of God's grace working in and through our lives.

This is when we live from revelation and the very working of that Word in us and then through us!

This is when we will walk in true spiritual authority.  Because our experience and knowing of God's Word has become revelatory and living within us!

It is never about what we can "do" to get more of God's power.  It is all about who we are and walking in relationship with Him (as sons and daughters) that brings His life-changing power into our lives and the lives of those we minister to.

When I refer to a high-impact life .... I am talking about when the character of Christ is formed in us - in such a way that we are bearing so much spiritual fruit in our daily lives .... it begins to affect everyone around us.

When we learn to live from this abiding relationship with God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  When we know each one of them intimately and we bring their presence to those in need.

The fragrance of Christ is then .... seen in what we think, what we do and in what we say.

“Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit.

For apart from me you can do nothing.

Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers.
Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples.
This brings great glory to my Father."

John 15:5-8 NLT

We can be trying to do things for Christ in our own strength and unattached to the vine but it will not bear spiritual fruit nor will it carry true spiritual authority.

Those who carry true spiritual authority to bear fruit WILL BE those who are intimately connected to God and hearing what is on the heart of the Father!  Those who know the Word and those who want to do the will of the Father.

We must learn to cultivate a hearing ear and want to know the will of the Father, just as Jesus did.

"I don’t speak on my own authority.
The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it.
And I know his commands lead to eternal life;
so I say whatever the Father tells me to say.”

John 12:49-50 NLT

As Christians, it is HIM is us, not us in the flesh doing what only God can do!  (Galatians 3:3).

When we are abiding in God; we will bearing much spiritual fruit in our lives and in the lives of those we minister to.

This same Truth applies to organizations as well.  An organization that abides will bear much spiritual fruit.

If a ministry is unconnected to God, they might be busy doing what looks like great exploits for God - but like the passage of John states above - God sees this sort of busyness as one that needs to be burned up.

When we live this abiding life - Him in us and us in Him - God says we can ask anything and He will answer!

What an amazing command and promise this is for us!  And this is my heart for this blog and any online social media ministry that I do.  Is to help you to connect into the vine and bear much spiritual fruit in your life!

When the Word of God is flowing powerfully in us and through us in THIS way .... lives will be radically transformed through us!

This, my friends, is a high-impact life. This is spiritual maturity. This is a life that is surrendered fully to Jesus Christ and to the work of His Holy Spirit in us and through us!

I consider myself to be a Christian mutt - a blend of Catholic and Protestant (Evangelical, Baptist, Penecostal, Methodist, Luthern, and more).

I enjoy God most in silence and solitude.  Being still with God is my favorite way to connect with Him. (Psalm 46:10).  When I truly slow down ... and still every ounce of my being .... it is like God says,  "finally, you are ready to have a deep and intimate conversation"!

I enjoy studying my Bible and thinking about God.  I love to know what He thinks and how He feels about EVERYTHING!  His perspective on life and the circumstances we face are SO much better than mine!

God is the delight of my heart and my life.  I truly desire nothing more than Him.  Other things try all the time to take over the spot in my heart however I constantly ask Him to bring me back to what the Psalmist says ...

"Whom have I in heaven but You?
And I have no delight or desire on earth besides You."
Psalm 73:25 AMP

God truly fascinates me.  I love His voice. I love how He enjoys to talk with people.  I love how much He cares ... about the silly things which can consume my heart.

He cares about the things on your heart right now too.

I love how God wants to talk with me and with you.  I love how He is thinking about us all day long and waits patiently for us to come to Him.

My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.”
And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”
Psalm 27:8 NLT

I love how God wants to be your best friend and confident.

God wants to reveal Himself as Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit to us.  He wants us to intimately know the character and nature of all three!

The way we get to know God intimately is through the Bible.

I love how I can trust God with anything ... even sharing the sinful, broken parts of my life ... and He still loves me.

I love His laugh and I especially love His smile.

There is nothing in life that will change you more - than when you feel the warmth of the Father's smile upon you .... followed by His loving embrace!

When you see God look into your eyes and smile at you .... it will transform you from the inside out!

God's love .... the love of the Father .... is the most amazing and life-changing love.  It can't be found on this side of heaven (or at least I have yet to encounter anyone who truly walks in Biblical love).

It is a love that is given to us freely - not because we are perfect or we are doing life "right" or obeying His Word perfectly.

It is not a love that demands perfection from us .... or rejects us for our imperfections!

It is truly a love that will never leave us nor forsake us - and it is a love that is committed to us FOR LIFE.  The Father will never send you away because of something we've done.  It is always us who chooses to leave him.

God will never leave us nor forsake us.

Even in our most horrific failures - the Father's arms will always be open to us - calling us to come back home to His heart.

Our sin will never define us - because Jesus' sacrifice has covered us - once and for all.  There is no need to keep working our way to try and get "more" of God.  When we walk through that doorway that the cross provides - the old nature in us is fully dead and we are now alive in Christ.  Alive in the new creation.  The old is gone and the new is here!

Know, believe and live Romans 6!

This is the Gospel of grace!  Don't let your old nature come out of the grave! Learn to die to self and to keep your old nature in the grave and live from the new creation in Christ - now this - is how to live a high-impact life!  This is why the Pharisees lacked true spiritual power because they didn't know their identity as sons and daughters of the Father!

The Father's love is a heavenly love that looks at us - flaws and all - through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.  It is the message that declares over us - it is finished and you can start fresh again!  This message is spoken every day because His mercies are new each day!

I have only one real deep prayer for anything I ever do ...  and that is for us to encounter the transformational love of God.  To know Him as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and for us to be a carrier of Him to others.  Presence carriers who know God and know His Word.

There is truly no one on earth who can compare to our God.

I look forward to being apart of your spiritual journey in whatever small part God might have me ... to be a part of your life.

God bless you in love and peace,
